Based on the Gold Coast in Queensland, our Club was chartered on 30 June 1980 and meets every Friday morning over breakfast at the Southport Yacht Club in Main Beach. We raise money from events we run during the year and all proceeds are donated to youth based charities and ex-service organisations.

We support Southport Special School, Gold Coast Hospital Childrens Ward, Southport Nippers, the Salvation Army, Legacy, Mates 4 Mates, Riding for the Disabled Arundel, Radio Lollipop, and many more.

Our annual events include:

  • Bare Your Soles For Kids on a Sunday in May (barefoot bowls)
  • The Rotary Kokoda Beach Classic in August (beach run, walk & half-marathon).
  • Circus Quirkus in September (human circus for underprivileged children).

Projects:  In 2014-2015 the Club moved the old Gold Coast Hospital Chapel to Broadwater Parklands and fully renovated it. Now known as the Rotary Chapel by the Sea, it is available to rent for weddings and celebrations.

We have a lot of fun, and enjoy our time together. We'd love to have you come along and learn about Rotary, our Club and make new friends while helping our local community.
