Based on the Gold Coast in Queensland, our Club was chartered on 30 June 1980 and meets every Friday morning over breakfast at the Southport Yacht Club in Main Beach. We raise money from events we run during the year and all proceeds are donated to youth based charities and ex-service organisations.
We support Southport Special School, YHES House, Southport Nippers, Riding for the Disabled Arundel, FSG Southport, Radio Lollipop, The Smith Family, the Salvation Army, Legacy, SoldierOn Queensland, and many more.
Our annual events include:
  • Bare Your Soles For Kids on a Sunday in May (barefoot bowls)
  • The Rotary Kokoda Beach Classic in August (beach run, walk & half-marathon).
  • Circus Quirkus in September (for underprivileged children).
  • Our Rotary Race Day in December at the Gold Coast Turf Club (corporate staff Christmas party).
In 2014-2015 the Club moved and renovated the old Gold Coast Hospital Chapel to Broadwater Parklands. Now known as the Rotary Chapel by the Sea, it is available to rent for weddings and celebrations.
We have a lot of fun, and enjoy our time together. We'd love to have you come along and learn about Rotary, our Club and make new friends.
